Hardcover Book Jacket
For this project I channeled back to my design school days for inspiration. The book is about building relationships among the various generations in the workforce. It contains a lot of data, information and examples. I took a cue from that to design the cover as if I were building a mock-up... with a lot of data, information and examples. The type consists of hand-sketched typefaces. The book cover colors are all sketched out, complete with Pantone swatches. The images are either roughly cut out or roughly sketched in as they represent FPO artwork. The whole cover is marked up with measurements and explanations as to color and image choices, among other things.
This was a lot of fun to plan and execute. The client just told me recently that he still gets compliments on the book jacket.
